Info:

We are incredibly glad to present this limited edition of the various cute works by the legendary ukrainiand underground band Foa Hoka. All tracks were handpicked from various albums, EP's, bootlegs and simply unreleased tracks covering the period of 1999 until 2006 of the band's activity by Maxim Shubski and compiled in this Legendary Secret Songs monument.

Foa Hoka was started back in 1991 in Chernigiv, Ukraine by it's constant vocalist and headliner Dmytro Kurovsky and synth- and guitar-player Vladyslav Dikhtyarenko.

Ivan Moskalenko aka DJ Derbastler joined later the group. The current staff of the band is being reinforced by Sergey Dubrovsky from Kyiv on turntables and Natali Baras on violin.

Being always a open project, Foa Hoka changed it's contributors as well as the music constantly but never losing it's unique style and vision. In their early works, mostly performed live, one can hear elements of experimental rock, lots of industrial with noisy analogue sounds, while current and studio works are mostly combined of

post-lounge, dub, minimal techno and ambient. Foa Hoka had extensively toured all around Germany, Austria, Poland, Russia, Ukraine and released lots of albums however most of their studio works were released undergroundly and independently on their SKP Records labels as well as numerous bootlegs.

So it's a good chance for you to hear now this mixed selection of the best, in our opinion, works by this great band. These are nice "uneasy listening" tracks with rich analogue noise flavor, recorded mostly in their own Midi Free Studio in Chernigiv on soviet synthesizers, with guitars, lo-fi and dubby sounds, curious drums, lounge loops and lots of positive energy!
